A Case of Splenic Tuberculosis

Abstract

|
The incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis is declining in Korea. And the incidence of extrapulmonary tuberculosis was very rare. Recently, there has been a resurgence of abdominal tuberculosis in immunocompromised patients, which is largely due to the extensive use of immunosuppressive drugs and the increasing incidence of human immunodeficiency virus infection. However, splenic tubercuolsis is rare, particularly in the immunocompetent patients. We report a case of splenic tubercuolosis treated with splenectomy, which did not respod to the antituberculosis medication,
